Pearl Jam Selects Internap to Deliver Online Downloads of Live Performances to Millions of Fans Worldwide

Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Performance IP™ Network power ‘bootleg recordings’ downloads of live concerts on www.pearljam.com

ATLANTA, GA – (June 12, 2008) – Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ: INAP), a global provider of end-to-end Internet business solutions, announced today that its Content Delivery Network (CDN) was selected to power a new service on www.pearljam.com that provides high-quality recordings of performances on Pearl Jam’s 2008 tour. With this new service, Pearl Jam offers its fans a chance to see them live in concert and then purchase and download the actual performance with the highest audio quality.

Pearljam.com has been running on Internap’s Performance IP Network for years, providing the highest Web site reliability in the industry. Pearl Jam extended its services to include Internap’s CDN in order to provide professionally produced ‘bootleg recordings,’ for purchase and download online.

Internap’s robust network services and engineering expertise provide the communications backbone that enables the band to build closer connections to its dedicated fans and broaden its audience through portable music. In addition, the integration of Internap’s CDN for streaming audio content adds additional opportunities for Pearl Jam to support members of the Ten Club, recognized as ‘the greatest fan club on earth dedicated to the greatest fans on earth.’

“Pearl Jam is dedicated to their music and their fans,” said Tim Bierman, manager of the Pearl Jam Ten Club. “Internap’s CDN and Performance IP Network help the band connect with its fans through www.pearljam.com and nurture that relationship through live, professionally mastered recordings of their legendary concert performances.”

Since 2000, Pearl Jam has sold more than 3.5 million bootleg concert recordings through various music download Web sites. This new service establishes a direct music connection between the band and its fans on pearljam.com by providing access to the highest quality live recordings within a few weeks of the actual performance. As demand and traffic to the site increases, Internap’s combined CDN and Performance IP network services will provide 100% reliability for the site, even fielding spontaneous spikes in traffic that could occur during the Pearl Jam 2008 tour.

“Over nearly 20 years, Pearl Jam has become one of the most influential bands in the world by breaking down barriers between their music and their fans,” said Jim Leach, vice president of marketing at Internap. “Now, Pearl Jam is using Internap’s network technology to build even closer connections with its audience through www.pearljam.com and the new music download service of its live concerts.”

The Pearl Jam 2008 tour opens on June 11 at the Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Fla. and continues for 13 scheduled performances along the East Coast, wrapping up on June 30 at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
